Coming from the mortgage industry, it was consulting work for HUD and US Treasury—during the 2007 financial crisis—that put us in the front row to support their mortgage rescue programs.
From the 18 states that would receive $9 billion in assistance from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), we helped 12 of them launch their programs, run them smoothly, and deliver assistance to eligible applicants — saving 100,000s of people from foreclosure.
In addition to various other projects, when ARPA and the CARES Act were launched in 2020, we were again called upon to support multi-billion-dollar programs for Emergency Rental Assistance and Homeowner Assistance for 12 states.
